Stazione Termini is the largest train station in Rome and has regular train services to all major Italian cities as well as daily international services to Paris and Munich; and the Domus Castrense is only 500 metres away.
From Stazione Termini guests can reach any of the numerous important monuments dispersed around Rome. Remember the Colosseum is only a 20 minute walk from the Domus Castrense Guest House or a 5 minute metro journey in low tourist season. The official residence of the president of the Republic, the Quirinale, is located 15 minutes away. It was built in 1574 and developed afterwards. There is an obelisk in the centre of Piazza del Quirinale that was moved there in 1786. The complex of baths, concert halls, libraries and gardens that make up the Terme di Diocleziano (Diocletian’s Baths) was completed in the 4th century and was the largest of its kind in ancient Rome. The baths are 5 minutes away from the Domus Castrense Guest House.
